Barn Findings – Martzloff

Description

Quietly tucked away near a canal in historic Blackwells Mill, NJ rests this beautiful barn. As I walked around there was an inviting quality to the landscape that also contained a bit of mystery. Surrounded by light and deep shadows the side view of the barn drew me in with it’s angles and openings. It felt like there was a story inside and perhaps that’s what compelled me to this vantage point.

The painting is vivid in brushwork and color and I hope invites the viewer to create their own story.
